LEGAL / PRIVACY
Your recipes are personal.
Your privacy matters.
Version 2026-08-14 · Last updated: August 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Hireci handles information when you use the Hireci website and mobile application. It is written to be clear and practical, without hiding important details behind legal language.
1. Information you choose to provide
Depending on the features you use, Hireci may receive account details such as your name, email address or sign-in identifier; recipes, notes, images and collections you save or create; grocery-list content; and links you ask Hireci to import.
If you apply to the creator affiliate program, Hireci receives the application details you submit: full name, email address, creator handle if provided, primary platform, creator profile or website URL, country or region if provided, and any message about your content. Hireci also records the versions of the Affiliate Program Terms and Privacy Policy you accepted and the acceptance time.
2. Information used to operate the service
Hireci may process limited technical information such as device and app version, request timestamps, diagnostics, security events and server logs. This information helps keep the service working, protect accounts and understand failures.
3. How information is used
- To provide recipe importing, organization, syncing and grocery-list features.
- To calculate or display recipe information you request, such as servings, nutrition or cost estimates.
- To secure accounts, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems and improve reliability.
- To communicate with you about support, early access or important service updates when you request them.
4. Recipe sources and third-party services
When you import a public link or social post, Hireci may contact that source to retrieve information needed to create your saved recipe. Those third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices. Hireci is not affiliated with or endorsed by those platforms unless expressly stated.
5. Sharing and selling
Hireci does not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that help operate essential infrastructure, authentication, storage, security or support, subject to appropriate safeguards. Information may also be disclosed when required by law, to protect users and the service, or as part of a business transaction with notice where required.
6. Website cookies and analytics
The public Hireci landing page does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. Essential server logs may still record ordinary request information for security and reliability. Invitation pages also record the limited first-party referral measurement described below.
7. Invitations and the creator affiliate program
When an invitation page is opened, Hireci combines the request’s IP address, user-agent string and current UTC date with secret server-side keys to create a one-way keyed hash for same-day click deduplication. The raw IP address and user-agent are not stored in the affiliate click record, the date prevents that hash from being used to link visits across days, and the hash is used for aggregate click reporting, security and fraud prevention.
When an invitation is claimed, Hireci records the attributed affiliate, the referred account, a snapshot of the referral code and relevant dates. RevenueCat and the applicable app marketplace may provide subscription and transaction identifiers, app, store, product and entitlement information, purchase dates, environment, price or developer-proceeds data, and subscription, renewal, refund or reversal events. Hireci uses this information to validate eligibility and maintain commission, refund, reversal and payout ledger records. RevenueCat and each app marketplace process information under their own privacy terms.
8. Payout and identity-verification providers
If creator payouts are enabled for you, an independent payout or know-your-customer (KYC) provider may collect information such as your legal name, address, date of birth, government identification, tax forms and bank or other payout-account details under its own privacy notice. Hireci does not ask you to place those sensitive details in the creator application. Hireci may receive limited verification status, payout identifiers, tax status and payment records needed to administer the program, meet legal obligations and resolve payout issues.
9. Retention and deletion
Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and protect the service. When account controls are available, you may use them to update or delete eligible content. You may also contact us to request access, correction or deletion.
Deleting a Hireci account does not require Hireci to erase records that must be retained for tax, accounting, payment, anti-fraud, dispute-resolution or other legal obligations. Affiliate applications, attribution records, subscription transactions, commission and refund ledgers, and payout or tax records may therefore be retained for the legally required period with access limited to authorized purposes, then deleted or de-identified when retention is no longer necessary.
10. Security
Hireci uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong device passcode and protect access to your sign-in methods.
11. Children
Hireci is not directed to children under the minimum age required to consent to online services in their location. If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, please contact us.
12. International use and changes
Information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate safeguards will be used. This policy may be updated as Hireci develops; the date above will change when a revision is published.
