1. Who we are
Hireci is a recipe organization application that helps people import, edit, save, plan, analyze, and shop for recipes. In this policy, “Hireci,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Hireci application, website, and related services.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create or access an account, we may receive your email address, authentication provider identifier, display name, profile image, and account settings. If you use Sign in with Apple or Google, those providers determine which information they share with us.
Recipe and user content
We process content you choose to import or create, including recipe titles, descriptions, ingredients, quantities, directions, source links, creator information, cover images, notes, ratings, comments, meal plans, grocery items, food preferences, and related edits.
Photos, camera, and media
If you grant permission, Hireci may access photos, camera input, or selected videos to recognize recipe information. We only access content you choose or permissions you enable. You can change permissions in iOS Settings.
Technical and usage information
We may receive device type, operating system, app version, language, region, diagnostic logs, crash reports, approximate request timing, network status, and interactions needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
Subscription information
Apple processes payment details for in-app purchases. We do not receive your full payment card information. We may receive product identifiers, purchase status, renewal status, trial eligibility, transaction identifiers, and entitlement information from Apple and our subscription infrastructure provider.
3. How we use information
- Provide account access, synchronization, import, recipe organization, translation, planning, grocery, nutrition, and cost features.
- Download, cache, transform, and serve recipe cover images or creator images so saved content loads reliably.
- Recognize text, speech, ingredients, quantities, and directions from content you submit.
- Generate estimates such as nutrition or recipe cost when you request them.
- Maintain subscriptions, trial limits, feature entitlements, and purchase restoration.
- Prevent abuse, investigate errors, secure accounts, and keep the service reliable.
- Respond to support, privacy, and account deletion requests.
4. Public social content and source links
Hireci can process publicly accessible links that you submit. Availability depends on the source platform, the post’s privacy settings, and the information exposed by that source. We preserve source attribution where available. Hireci is not affiliated with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Meta, or ByteDance.
5. Service providers
We use service providers to operate Hireci. Depending on the feature and configuration, these may include:
- Apple for distribution, Sign in with Apple, in-app purchases, and device services.
- Google or Firebase for authentication, cloud data, diagnostics, or related infrastructure.
- RevenueCat for subscription status and purchase entitlement management.
- Cloud hosting, image storage, database, content delivery, and security providers.
- Recognition, translation, nutrition, and reference-data services used to produce requested features.
Providers may process information only as needed to provide their services to us, subject to their terms and applicable law.
6. Legal bases and disclosures
Where required, we process information to perform our agreement with you, with your consent, to comply with law, or for legitimate interests such as security, reliability, and product improvement. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, during a business reorganization, or to vendors acting on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information.
7. Data retention
We keep account and recipe data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Diagnostic and security records may be retained for a limited period. Backups can remain temporarily after deletion until they are overwritten under normal retention cycles. We may retain information when required for legal, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute purposes.
8. Your choices and rights
You can edit recipes, update profile information, manage iOS permissions, control subscription settings through Apple, or contact us for help with access, correction, export, objection, restriction, or deletion requests available under applicable law.
To request account and cloud-data deletion, email hi@hireci.com from the address associated with your account. Include “Account Deletion” in the subject. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password and keep your device and account credentials protected.
10. International processing
Hireci and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
11. Children
Hireci is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information without appropriate permission.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Hireci changes. We will publish the updated version here and revise the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by another appropriate method.
