EVERY SAVE, ONE PLACE

How to find your saved recipes on your phone.

Your saved recipes are scattered across five apps and your camera roll. Here’s how to track them all down — and keep them somewhere you can actually cook from.

Your saves are everywhere. Your cookbook should be in one place.

Your saved recipes don’t live in one place — they live inside each app that saved them: TikTok’s Saved videos, Instagram’s Saved posts, Pinterest boards, your camera roll screenshots, and your browser bookmarks. Open each app’s saved section to find them. To keep them, import them all into one cookbook app like Hireci, where they become searchable recipes with ingredients and steps instead of scattered saves.

“I know I saved that recipe somewhere.” If that sentence sounds familiar, this guide is for you. It covers exactly where saved recipes hide on your phone, how to open each hiding spot, and the simple system that turns five scattered collections into one cookbook you can cook from.

Where saved recipes actually live

There is no “Saved Recipes” folder on your phone. Each app keeps its own saves, in its own corner:

  • TikTok — Saved videos, behind the bookmark icon on your profile.
  • Instagram — Saved posts and reels, under the menu on your profile.
  • Pinterest — Saved pins, on the Saved tab of your profile, usually sorted into boards.
  • Camera roll — Screenshots of recipes from anywhere, in your Photos app’s Screenshots album.
  • Browser — Recipe pages in bookmarks, the reading list, or a notes app.
  • YouTube — Watch Later and playlists in your Library tab.

That is six hiding spots before breakfast. No wonder “show me my saved recipes” feels like a scavenger hunt.

Find them in each app

Here is the 60-second tour. Open each app and go straight to its saved section:

  • TikTok: Profile → bookmark icon → Saved. One long list, newest first.
  • Instagram: Profile → three-line menu → Saved. Posts and reels, sortable into collections.
  • Pinterest: Profile → Saved tab. Pins grouped by board.
  • Screenshots: Photos app → Albums → Screenshots. Scroll — the recipes are mixed in with everything else.
  • Browser: Bookmarks or Reading List, depending on whether you use Safari or Chrome.
  • YouTube: Library → Watch Later, plus any playlists you made for recipes.

Our TikTok guide and Instagram guide go deeper on those two, including how to stop the saved lists from growing into an unusable pile.

Finding them isn’t enough

Here is the uncomfortable part: even once you know where everything is, the saves still don’t work as a cookbook. A saved TikTok is a video you have to rewatch to get the ingredients. A screenshot is a picture you can’t search. A Pinterest board is a grid of images with no ingredient lists. None of them can answer “what can I make with the chicken in my fridge?”

And there is a quieter risk. Creators delete videos, flip accounts private, or lose the original post. When that happens, your saved recipe vanishes with it. If the ingredients were never written down anywhere you control, the recipe is simply gone.

Put them all in one cookbook

The fix is to move recipes out of the apps and into one place as real recipes — ingredients, amounts, steps, servings. In Hireci that takes seconds per save:

Then check the import against the original — quantities, units, servings — the way you would proofread anything you plan to cook from. An imported recipe you reviewed is trustworthy. For the full picture of what this kind of tooling does, see what a recipe converter is.

Make them findable

Once everything lands in one cookbook, two habits keep it usable. First, name recipes so future-you can find them: “15-minute garlic butter noodles” beats “TikTok pasta.” Second, keep a few collections that match how you actually cook — Weeknight dinners, Weekend projects, Baking — and file every recipe the day it arrives. Our guide to organizing saved recipes covers this in detail.

The weekly five-minute sweep

New saves will keep landing in the apps — that is fine, as long as they don’t stay there. Once a week, open each app’s saved section and ask one question per item: did this become a recipe? If yes, unsave the original — the recipe in your cookbook is the keeper now. If not yet, import it. If you don’t actually want it, unsave it anyway. A saved list that only shrinks is doing its job.

Your saved-recipe rescue checklist

  • You know where each app keeps its saves.
  • Videos and posts are imported as real recipes, not left as links.
  • Screenshots are imported, not sitting in your camera roll.
  • Every recipe has a clear name and a collection.
  • Deleted videos can’t take your recipes with them.

That is the whole system: know where the saves are, move them into one cookbook as real recipes, name them so you can find them, and sweep weekly. “Save this recipe” finally means something — because the recipe is somewhere you can open it, on the night you want to cook it.

Frequently asked questions

Where are my saved recipes on my iPhone?

There is no single folder. Your iPhone keeps each app’s saved recipes inside that app: TikTok’s Saved videos, Instagram’s Saved posts, Pinterest boards, screenshots in your Photos app, and bookmarks in your browser. To see them all in one place, import them into a cookbook app like Hireci.

How do I see my saved recipes on TikTok?

Open TikTok, tap your profile, then tap the bookmark icon to open your Saved videos. Everything you tapped Save on lives there in one long list, newest first.

How do I find saved recipes on Instagram?

Open Instagram, go to your profile, tap the three-line menu and choose Saved. Your saved posts and reels are there, and you can sort them into collections.

Can I move saved recipes out of TikTok or Instagram?

Yes. Copy the video or post link and import it into Hireci, which turns it into an editable recipe with ingredients and steps. For screenshots, import the image directly and Hireci reads the recipe from it.

What happens to my saved recipes if a video is deleted?

It disappears from the app’s saved list with nothing to fall back on. Recipes you imported into your own cookbook survive, because the ingredients and steps are written down in your library.

What is the easiest way to keep saved recipes in one place?

Import every recipe into one cookbook app the moment you save it, give it a clear name, and sort it into a few collections. A weekly five-minute sweep through each app’s new saves keeps the system from drifting.
